  • Directory Update - To update your directory information for the 2016-2017 school year. Please click HERE. Families who are new to BCS will create a new directory listing. Families who have previously entered information into the system will be asked if they will like an email link sent to them. Existing families, please scroll to the bottom of the email and click on the link. This will then let you update your directory information.

  • Summer Packets - All grades have summer homework!  You can find the summer homework packets and school supply list by clicking here.

  • Please review the calendar to the right for information on Summer activities.

  • SAVE THE DATE – Back-to-school registration is Thursday, August 11 & Tuesday, August 16, 2016, 10-12 am & 5-7 pm. Please mark your calendars with these dates and remember, every student must be registered on one of these two dates for next school year! We will notify you in early August when the forms are ready for completion.

  • 2015-2016 3rd & 4th Grade Electric Vehicle, Mass Production Project - This year all of the 3rd and 4th graders worked to create an R2-D2 Star Wars Robot. A video about the project can be found HERE. All of the 3-4 students received one of the robots during assemblies on June 9th & 10.

  • Move-Up Day Presentations - This truly was a wonderful opportunity to help our students and teachers transition to, and get excited about, next school year.   • 2016-2017 Quarter I Choice Hour - NOW LATE - 2016-2017 Quarter I Choice Hour Selection Sheets were due May 31. Click HERE for the packets. After June 24th, please mail your Selection Sheet to Mrs. Juriga in the BCS Office.

  • 5/6 Overnight Camp, Fall 2016 - 5/6 Camp will take place September 14-16, 2016. We will be traveling to Camp Michindoh again this year. This trip is for all 5th and 6th graders. Click HERE for forms and more information.

  • 2016-2017 OPTIONAL 7/8 FIELD TRIPS - Next year’s 7/8 students will have the opportunity to participate in two optional field trips: For a summary of both trips, click 2016-2017 Optional 7/8 Trips.

  • BCS Career Day, May 6 - The BCS Proud Dads sponsored "Career Day" ran after their regular lunch period and all BCS students will participate. "The purpose of the day is to expose students to a variety of future career path opportunities as well as to express the importance and need of ALL honorable work."   • BCS 20 Year Celebration, was Nov. 28 - #BCSTURNS20 - The BCS 20 YEAR CELEBRATION WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!   • The Ripple Effect -- A new BCS newsletter subtitled Sharing the Stories of BCS Students Making a Difference in the Lives of Others is a wonderful snapshot of some of the great work and learning that is ongoing at BCS. View all of the issues on our Students Home page.

  • Salmon in the Classroom -- Thanks to the generosity of the BCS PTSA and Premier Pet Supply in Beverly Hills, we are able to help the Great Lakes by raising salmon again this year. To view the blog click here: BCS Salmon Blog. This year's salmon were released on April 27, 2016 into the Clinton River in Auburn Hill's Riverside Park. 68 live salmon were released.   • Did you know? Every student in our school has to have their parent or guardian read the first two pages of the "Concussion Awareness Educational Material," complete the third page with the student's name and parent/guardian signature, and return the signed form back to the BCS office where it will be placed in the student's file per direction from the state.

  • BCS Bond 2015 Impact -- On May 5, 2015, voters in the Birmingham Public School District approved a bond proposal to improve school facilities, enhance building security for the safety of the students and staff, and provide up-to-date technology for students to remain globally competitive.   • BCS Wins National Recognition - Birmingham Covington School was just recognized as one of The 50 Best Middle Schools in the U.S. by TheBestSchools.org. ... NAN’S KIDS - No student is ever excluded from an activity at BCS for financial reasons. We have a fund at BCS called Nan’s Kids to assist families. Please let administration know if you have a student who needs this assistance. All information is kept confidential.
