Blast / Carnival Sunday, March 18 – 3:30 to 7:30 pm

The 2012 Blast team is already hard at work planning the biggest party of the year! We are so excited for another great auction and carnival. This is not only a major source of funding for PTSA activities, but a major source of FUN for our kids! It's a fun filled afternoon with

  • a silent auction
  • live raffle
  • carnival games and inflatables
  • great food
  • a cake walk
  • prize room for the kids

 

Plan to bring your kids for a great time, and spend a couple of hours volunteering if you can.

PTSA Blast Committee Meetings 2011-2012

 

The BCS Blast committee coordinates the various components of our annual School Fair, the Blast. Held in the Spring, the Blast is BCS's largest fundraiser and party of the year. Various components of the Blast include a silent auction, a carnival and a raffle. Proceeds from the Blast fund the majority of the PTSA's annual budget.

Please support the Blast in any way you can – with the current funding situation for public schools, PTSA support for our students is more important than ever! If you are interested in donating anything to the auction or know any business that would like to be involved please contact the committee chairs or attend one of the meetings.

This great BCS tradition takes a lot of people and hours to pull it off, but if we each do just a bit, it will be a great success! Look for information from your child’s room parent on opportunities to volunteer as we get nearer to the big date, or contact Karen Best or Ken Gilbert to get more involved.

Calling all BCS Parents, Grandparents, Alumni and Friends of BCS !

 

March 18th, 2012 is the date of this years Blast! This is the largest fundraiser at BCS and all proceeds go to support the great programs at BCS!

The Auction Team is requesting you THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX this year and come up with some great ideas of what YOU CAN DONATE to our auction.

Here are some ideas to get you thinking:

 

  • Got a Vacation home up north, in Florida (near Disney World?), in Colorado, etc that you could donate a week’s rental?

  • How about Tickets to any local professional or college sporting event (yes, we even want Lions tickets this year)!

  • Do you work for a company or own a company that you can donate Products or Services to the BCS auction PLUS get some great advertisement? Or based on what you do, can you provide an “experience” for kids, parents and/or families at BCS?

  • Do you have connections with local Fire Departments to coordinate kids riding on a fire truck for a parade?

  • Do you have contacts with local Police Departments or the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office to coordinate a special experience for one of our BCS kids?

  • Everyone loves a party, so get a few other BCS Families and host a party for kids, adults or both. Let your creativity juices flow and have a great time planning this event as well as attending it!

  • Do you have access to a place of business that would be a great spot to host a party?

  • Do you have some fun autographed goodies around your house that you are ready to part with?

 

We need your support and it is not too early to begin mapping out your BLAST DONATION!
