Email Sign-Up

BCS Email subscriptions are managed through the district eNews SignUp tool (instructions below).
To receive complete information, be sure to sign up for

  • BPS District eNews
  • Birmingham Covington School eNews
  • Update from the Principal
  • Grade number for your students

How to Send an Email to the BCS Community

  1. Create your email
  2. In the subject line, indicate who is to receive it (i.e. 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, all BCS), and the subject
  3. Send the email to the principals, Adam Hartley and Patricia Chinn, indicating that it is to be emailed to the BCS community
  4. They will approve the email and send it to the appropriate parents

How to Sign-Up for Email

  1. Complete the Email Opt-In form: Birmingham Public Schools - MailOut® to register and subscribe to the district email news list
  2. Click the "Click here to change any of these options" link to sign up for BCS and additional district Email
  3. In the "Email List Subscriptions" section, under "Select a building", pick "Birmingham Covington School" and click "Display Subscriptions"
  4. Check the boxes next to
    • Birmingham Covington School
    • Update from the Principal (for school wide communications incuding the “Week at a Glance”)
    • Grade number(s) for your student(s)
  5. Pick "Add Subscriptions"
  6. Subscribe to additional, district-wide mailing lists under "District Subscriptions"

If you have any problems or questions, please email bpsenewssupport and you should get a response within 24 hours.

 

How to Change Your BPS eNews Account

  1. Enter your Email address and Password in the "Login: Subscribers"section:
    Birmingham Public Schools - MailOut®
  2. Make any changes needed - add or remove subscriptions in the "Email List Subscriptions" section
  3. To change grade level(s) for your child(ren) each summer
    • Remove your email from the previous grade level by clicking "UnSubscribe" on the right
    • Add your email to the new grade level by following the steps above
 

Current BCS Families

Please make sure that you move your eNews subscription up to your child's next grade level at the beginning of the summer to ensure you are getting the most current and relevant communications from BCS.

Once you login with your email and password, you will then be able to update your profile. If you have forgotten your password, the system will email it to you.

 

Families No Longer at BCS

If your child has left BCS, please unsubscribe from your BCS eNews subscriptions by following the steps listed above. If you are moving from the district, please remember to unsubscribe from the system (the link for this is in the upper right, "If you wish to cancel your account with MailOut, click here"). You will continue to get emails until you unsubscribe. Unfortunately, BCS or the district cannot change the subscriptions on your account...only you can do that.
