  • 2016-2017 Quarter I Choice Hour - It is time to fill out Choice Hour Selection Sheets for 1st Quarter of the next school year!! Selection Sheets are due back in the school office by Tuesday, May 31st at 4pm. Please review the information with your student and have them bring in the form. We understand that there might be changes based on Fall schedules, so please do your best! Click HERE for the packets.

  • Volunteers Needed for Move-up Day - Each spring, BCS hosts two events in order to help our new students transition smoothly to BCS. The first event was the New Family Breakfast, May 17. The second event is Move-up Day, June 13, 9:00am-10:30am. Move-Up Day is a wonderful opportunity for our new students to begin feeling part of BCS. If you are willing to volunteer, please sign up using the links below.

  • 2016-2017 OPTIONAL 7/8 FIELD TRIPS - Next year’s 7/8 students will have the opportunity to participate in two optional field trips: For a summary of both trips, click 2016-2017 Optional 7/8 Trips.
  • 7/8 Cedar Point End of Year Trip - The BCS 7/8 End of Year trip to Cedar Point is June 16th. Sign-up will occur in front of the Cafeteria from 8:00am-8:13am, Monday, May 9 - Thursday, May 12. Please bring all of your signed paperwork, payment, and your buddy. Click Here for the forms and trip information.

  • 2016-2017 PTSA Proposed Budget – The proposed PTSA budget for the 2016-2017 School Year will be voted on at the May 12 PTSA meeting. The meeting will be held at 1:15pm at BCS. Click Here to review the budget. More information about the BCS PTSA may be found on their page.

  • BCS Career Day, May 6 - The BCS Proud Dads sponsored "Career Day" ran after their regular lunch period and all BCS students will participate. "The purpose of the day is to expose students to a variety of future career path opportunities as well as to express the importance and need of ALL honorable work."   • The Ripple Effect -- A new BCS newsletter subtitled Sharing the Stories of BCS Students Making a Difference in the Lives of Others is a wonderful snapshot of some of the great work and learning that is ongoing at BCS. View all of the issues on our Students Home page.

  • Salmon in the Classroom -- Thanks to the generosity of the BCS PTSA and Premier Pet Supply in Beverly Hills, we are able to help the Great Lakes by raising salmon again this year. To view the blog click here: BCS Salmon Blog. This year's salmon were released on April 27, 2016 into the Clinton River in Auburn Hill's Riverside Park. 68 live salmon were released.   • Did you know? Every student in our school has to have their parent or guardian read the first two pages of the "Concussion Awareness Educational Material," complete the third page with the student's name and parent/guardian signature, and return the signed form back to the BCS office where it will be placed in the student's file per direction from the state.

  • BCS Bond 2015 Impact -- On May 5, 2015, voters in the Birmingham Public School District approved a bond proposal to improve school facilities, enhance building security for the safety of the students and staff, and provide up-to-date technology for students to remain globally competitive.
